by cbishop8 July 6, 2019July 12, 2019 Limbs of Yoga: Pranayama Yoga Philosophy The Limbs of Yoga : Pranayama – The Art of Breathing View this post on Instagram As I’ve been unfolding through the eight limbs of yoga with you all, I want to share a technique to practice the limb of pranayama, aka breath control. This video demos how to practice a three part breath, which can be an especially helpful technique on busy days when your mind is all over the place and you need something to help bring you back to presence. I actually demo this better on the second round because that is the order I usually practice in. Start with 3-5 slow breaths, whatever you have time for. Choose to stay longer as you continue the practice. See if you notice sensations in your body and feel yourself becoming more connected with the breath in the present.
