Healthy Pumpkin Pie

Health is all about balance. And balance includes eating 𝐭𝐡𝐞 “𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥” 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 pumpkin pie every so often. Listen to your body and do so with a positive outlook. ⁣It also includes making modifications to the “real” versions to honor cravings.

While a diet should include 𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, strive for balance to avoid over-indulging in high sugar & high-fat foods. This can cause feelings of guilt & shame.⁣

This pumpkin pie recipe has been *healthified* to maintain balance and avoid over-indulgence.

🎃 Ingredients:
– 1 can pure pumpkin
– 1 scoop whey protein powder (I used Cellucor Peanut Butter Marshmellow but I’d recommend vanilla)
– 1 envelope Knox gelatin
– 1 serving (43g) spice cake mix

🎃 Recipe:
Boil 1 cup water with Knox until dissolved. Pour into pie pan with remaining ingredients. Stir and refrigerate 3 hours until firm. I added in nutmeg and cinnamon, and topped with 2T lite whip topping 👌

As stated, this recipe is lower calorie and macro-friendly. (1/8 slice=8C/5P/.5F)
